How to make simple skin gradients with MS Word

This documentation will show you how to make skin gradients with Microsoft Word. Note that it was written for WinXP with MS Word XP. The computer language is not english, so you will have to follow the trails given in the images.

It is very easy and will deliver professional and cool results. First, open Microsoft Word and then locate the following image (marked in red):

If you click on it, this will appear:

Click on the button marked in red. Now you will see a big square with some text in the middle. Click anywhere in that square and make it a rectangle like this:

Don't make it too high or too short; you will need it to match the space where you want this graphic to appear. The next step is to double click on the rectangle and this box will show up:

First, you should always remember to remove the border. If you have the border on, it will look very wierd when the gradient repeats itself. Remove the border by clicking on the thing marked in red:

Now it is time to start adding some basic color to your gradient. You do this by clicking on the thing in red below:

Now you will see this screen:

1. Choose the two colors you want your gradient to contain. Don't have colors that are very different like neon green and dark blue, because that doesn't look nice.
2. It is here that you select what gradient type you want to have. You can have it vertical, horizontal, from the outside in, inside out etc. etc.
3. This shows the different sub-categories of gradient types. You select the one you want by simply clicking on it.
4. This is how it is going to look in reality.

Once you have decided what gradient you want to have, click "OK". Copy the image and paste it into paint and save as image_name.jpg (where "image_name" is the name you would like to call your image) and upload it to an image host and use it in your stylesheet.

Here are some outcomes of this techinque:

It is not exactly high-class but it is a fair alternative if you don't want to spend money on an expensive image editing software or doesn't feel that confortable with the free ones out there.
