First, open the image where you want to include an animated rain effect…as of mine, I used a red rose…

STEP 1:

1. Create a new Layer or hit ctrl+shif+n to make a new layer and set your background color to default color (white for background color to black for foreground).

2. Go to Filter > Render > Clouds and you will get this image:

6. Repeat the same procedure for this layer and create 3 more layers to get 4 layers of rain till you get the image below. Then go to Edit > Image Ready (or shift+ctrl+M)..

STEP 2:

You are now in the Image Ready…follow the following procedure to start creating your Animated Rain Effect…no more picture in this step provided...

1.Open the Animation Window (or go to Window > Animation)

2. Click the eye on the left side of the last 3 layers you have duplicated to make those invisible.

3. Now click the eye on the first layer you have created to make it invisible also then Click again the eye on the second layer to make it visible this tame then copy frame and paste after the first selection. Repeat this procedure till you’ve finish doing up to the last layer..

4. Then save if under .gif format by going to File > Save Optimized as…and you’re done…

Here is my final Animated Rain Effect…
